A little bit about Irene’s Gourmet

I remember in 2011, when I first went vegan, there weren’t any local vegan cheese brands that I knew off. Now I have many options! Irene’s Gourmet vegan cheeses are definitely on the top of the list! They have a range of cheeses and cheese powders as well as other amazing products, that are all locally made and palm-oil free! 💚💚💚 The Meltme Style vegan cheese really does melt! I’ve used it in pasta’s and on pizza!

Irene’s Gourmet started in 2016, by Irene and her husband Jason. Irene originally made all the products herself, in their home. They are now a team of 10 people who work in their factory in Randburg.

What are the ingredients?

The Meltme Style Vegan Cheese is a gentle, creamy everyday cheese made with cashew nuts which is free from dairy, gluten, colourants, soy and palm oil.

Ingredients: Cashew nuts, Vegetable oil (coconut), Vegetable starch, Nutritional yeast, Plant based stabiliser, Himalayan salt, Coconut blossom sugar, Flavouring (natural origin) Preservative / acidity regulator (natamycin). Allergens: Cashew nuts
