I’ve been using the Oil Science Lemon & Line CBD drops for a few months now, to help with my migraines.
Compensation for this blog post was provided by Oil Science and a sample product was gifted to me. The opinions expressed here are my own, and not indicative of the opinions or positions of Oil Science.

Since taking the drops I have had less migraines. As mentioned on Instagram, I can’t say with a 100% conviction that the CBD oil prevented me from having migraines, but I can say it’s the only thing that I’ve done differently lately.
My migraines
I have joint and muscle pain every day, which often leads to severe migraines. As a kid I did all sorts of sports, and for about 5 years I did kickboxing and I think that’s where it all started.
I’ve realised that contact sports can do serious damage to the body, that you have to live with for the rest of your life. There is no way to make the damage that was done go away, believe me I have tried, but I’m interested in using natural medicines to manage it.
The ingredients and the packaging
Oil Science’s CBD Oil is all natural and organic, plant-based and vegan. It is additive and preservative free, and made with a 100mg pure broad spectrum CBD extract, hemp seed carrier oil and Lemon and Lime extract which is all ethically sourced.
The CBD drops is packaged in a glass bottle with a medical dropper made from rubber, plastic and glass. The bottle is packaged in a cardboard box.

How to use CBD drops
I’ve been wondering about how CBD products are best used and why? I’ve discovered that there are 3 very effective ways to take CBD: sublingual, oral and topical.
The cbd oil is best used sublingually, which means placing a few drops every day under my tongue, and waiting almost a minute before swallowing. This method results in a bioavailability of around 40–50% (how much is absorbed) because it enters my bloodstream from under my tongue.
I can take the cbd oil orally but it only has about 20% absorption, because it gets partially broken down by my liver. I’ve discovered you should not add CBD oil to baking or cooking as the heat will make the oil less effective, so what’s the point of even using it then. Instead the cbd oil can be the finishing touch of a meal.
When I add the drops under my tongue and swallow after about a minute, I’ve taken it sublingually and orally, which I reckon is a pretty good combo.
The oil science lip balm falls under the topical category. When used on my lips, the balm is absorbed by the epidermis (top layer of my skin) but will not enter my bloodstream. CBD creams and balms are created to be absorbed quickly on targeted areas of the body.
Isn’t the human body fascinating?

Where to buy?
You can buy the CBD drops directly from the Oil Science website. Oil Science have a option on their online shop, where instead of buying a CBD product once off every month, you can buy a subscription which is cheaper.
