This aluminium free, vegan, eco roll on from Pure Beginnings is my absolute favourite. Not just because I am vegan, but also because I care about the environment, my health, and it is a safer option.

Aluminium in your roll on
Did you know that 60% of the everyday beauty and personal care products that we use, is absorbed by our bodies? They contain harmful synthetic chemical ingredients, like petrochemical-derived ingredients, parabens, sulphates, fluoride, aluminium, and synthetic colourants and fragrances. To most, they might just be technical words written on the label of the product, but it is really important to know what they are, and how they negatively affect your body and the environment. Aluminium, for example, is a common ingredient in most brands of roll on and deodorants, and is used to block the pores that produce perspiration.
According to my research, aluminium is really bad for you. It is a neurotoxin, which is actually poisonous and destructive to nerve tissue. Aluminium is also estrogenic, which means it can promote the growth of both cancer and non-cancer breast cells. Some scientists have suggested that using aluminium-based antiperspirants may be a risk factor for the development of breast cancer.
High levels of aluminium have been found in the breast tissue of cancer patients that have undergone mastectomies. How this is even allowed? I have read that companies are permitted to use small doses of harmful chemicals in products we use every day. The problem is that we use many different products, each containing harmful chemicals, all of which are absorbed by our bodies. If you want to learn more about why these chemicals are allowed to be used in beauty and personal care products, watch the story of cosmetics.
By using green and eco personal care products we can help decrease the toxic load on our bodies & the environment. These products contain no synthetic chemicals and use only naturally derived ingredients.
Eco roll on
For years before I went vegan in 2011, I only used products that were natural and contained no harmful chemicals. Once I went vegan, not only did my products have to be eco, natural and chemical free, but also animal ingredient free, and not tested on animals.
I have tried many natural roll on’s over the years, and this eco, vegan, Forest roll on from Pure Beginnings is my favourite. It is BWC approved, Ecocert approved, all natural, does not contain aluminium, does not include animal products, and has not been tested on animals. I use it every day and have for a few years now. I always have one at home and one in my handbag.
Why I love Pure Beginnings
Pure Beginnings have an amazing range of all natural eco, vegan baby, kid, and adult skin care products. I love the products, and the company, as their ethics align very much with my own. I love them so much that I use almost all of their adult products, including one or two of the ones from their kids’ range, such as the baby and kids sunscreen called Sensitive Sun Milk, see post here.
